Kevin Lynch’s leadership, National Industries for the Blind (NIB) and its nationwide network of 93 associated nonprofit agencies continue to increase employment opportunities for people who are blind. In FY 2013, NIB generated 328 new jobs and $616 million in AbilityOne® Program sales.

During Mr. Lynch’s time as NIB president and CEO, development of the SKILCRAFT® product line has expanded to more than 5,000 offerings, new service offerings such as Contract Management Support (CMS) and Section 508 assurance have been launched, and the Base Supply Center (BSC) program has grown to more than 150 stores nationwide.

Mr. Lynch’s career serving the blindness community spans more than 30 years. Before joining NIB in 1994 he served as executive director of Georgia Industries for the Blind, where he managed three manufacturing plants employing 165 people who are blind and more than $10 million in government contracts.

Prior to that, Mr. Lynch was director of manufacturing at the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired of Greater Rochester, New York, where he negotiated and executed multi-million dollar contracts with the General Services Administration, Eastman Kodak, Xerox Corporation and other commercial customers. Mr. Lynch was appointed president and CEO by the NIB Board of Directors in August 2008 after serving as NIB’s senior vice president of marketing and operations.
