Alex Simmerly graduated from Skagit Valley College in 2014 with a degree in General Studies. He hopes to eventually return to school to study either Business Administration or Criminal Justice in the near future. Alex is currently underway in his second year as a member of the USBLN Student Advisory Council and also is a part of the USBLN Career Link Mentoring program.
He currently works for Lowe’s Home Improvement in Bellevue, Washington as a Customer Service Associate, but would like to work his way up and eventually become an assistant store manager or even a store manager one day.
Alex takes personal pride in helping others overcome challenges and adversity, with a personal passion for making a difference. Alex is very outgoing, compassionate, and a well-rounded individual, with many different goals and ambitions still to come.
In his spare time, Alex really enjoys many hobbies; they include cooking, as well as eating, working out, swimming, playing and watching sports, driving, hanging out with his friends, taking things apart, playing and listening to music, hanging out with his dog Jack, or just doing anything exciting and adventurous. Alex currently lives in the greater Seattle, WA area. He is one of two surviving fraternal twins!
