George Foley joined 3M Company in 1990 and is currently a Business Development Manager in 3M Government Markets. His market focus is the General Services Administration and AbilityOne procurement channels of the US Federal Government. He started his career at 3M in IT Applications Planning where he provided client support to 3M’s corporate data base applications as an Analyst and Architecture Team Leader. Subsequently he moved into the IT Information Management department where he was the project leader for the Global Information Repository. He then moved on to a leadership role supporting 3M’s eBusiness efforts. Prior to his current role, he was the eBusiness Communications Manager for 3M Government Markets. He currently is on the board of 3M’s disability Awareness Network (dAN), 3M’s representative to the USBLN, and Chair-elect for the MNBLN board.
George has over 14 years of experience working with people with disabilities in his role as the AbilityOne Key Account Manager. Prior to joining 3M, he held various IT and marketing assignments with Minnesota Mutual Life (Securian) in St. Paul MN. He has an undergraduate degree in Biology from St. John’s University in Collegeville, MN. George lives with his wife Connie in Eagan MN where they enjoy spending time with their 3 grown children (son & 2 daughters), and 2 grandsons.
