Brian serves as the Executive Vice President of Programs at USBLN, working on several programs and operational matters, as well as leading USBLN’s public policy efforts.
Prior to joining USBLN, Brian was legislative assistant at the Council on Foundations. Working on the Public Policy and Legal Affairs team, he represented the Council on Capitol Hill and with executive branch departments, mainly on tax issues. He worked daily with Council members to plan and execute their policy advocacy strategy; additionally, he managed relations with the House and Senate Philanthropy Caucuses. Brian also helped lead on the Council’s disability inclusion initiative.
Most recently, he worked at GYMR Public Relations advising clients on strategic communications, media relations and social media strategy. He began his career working on congressional campaigns, and in the office of Senator Chuck Schumer.
He serves on the board of directors of the Capital Pride Alliance and is a volunteer tax preparer with Community Tax Aid. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and American studies from Hobart College, where he serves as co-chair of his reunion committee.
