Since January 2011 Jamie Eden has served as Vice President, Compensation & Benefits for Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals Corporation, USA. Boehringer Ingelheim (BI) is a privately held company with a focus on Human Pharmaceuticals and Animal Health with 42,000 employees operating in more than 50 countries worldwide. Jamie is responsible for all payroll, benefits, compensation, and occupational health programs in the U.S. in addition to a Service Center providing administrative HR support to all 11,000+ employees in North America.
In addition to his core responsibilities Jamie is currently leading a multi-year global project to implement a single performance management and compensation planning process/system across all BI operating units worldwide. In addition, Jamie has driven changes in BI’s pension plan design which significantly reduce future liabilities while retaining a competitive and valuable employee benefit. Jamie joined BI in 2008 and prior to his current assignment served as Executive Director, Human Resources, a role which focused on providing HR business partnering support to all Enabling Functions in Ridgefield, CT and Ingelheim, Germany.
Prior to joining BI Jamie has spent the last eighteen years in various HR generalist and specialist roles in the United Kingdom and United States, including work across multiple industries such as Financial Services (Barclays), Retail (Target Corporation), Aerospace (Honeywell) and Logistics (Swift Transportation). Jamie has a passion for making connections between changes in the external environment and associated opportunities with respect to HR and business strategy.
Jamie earned his bachelors degree from Kings College London and lives with his wife, Christine and two children, Ashleigh and Ryan, in Easton, CT.
