Mark Johnson is presently the Director of Advocacy, Shepherd Center, Atlanta. He is serving as Chair of the ADA Legacy Project that is working to preserve disability history, celebrate its milestones, and educate the public and future generations of advocates.
Mark has a M.Ed. degree in Guidance and Counseling from University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
He is a graduate of several leadership programs and Past President of the Fund for Southern Communities, a progressive fund that supports social change in NC, SC, and GA.
Mark is one of the founders of ADAPT, and has received a number of awards for his advocacy and organizing across disability and health and human service organizations.
