Ray Parker is a Technical Program Manager & Technical Business Development Liaison at Dragonchain. He graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and Smartly with a MBA. Ray hopes to pursue opportunities in the future that will help solve challenging problems that the world faces and to help develop himself into a well-rounded individual with the ability to see from various perspectives and understandings.
He has internship experiences at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Orbital ATK, Northrop Grumman Corporation, RainmakeMe Venture Capital and Booz Allen Hamilton; working on various projects ranging from moon rover payloads to cancer treatment drugs, and sounding rockets to information technology systems. Most recently, he was a Data & AI Consultant at Microsoft, before moving into the world of cryptocurrency and blockchain at Dragonchain.
Ray has been involved with multiple disability avocation organizations, but primarily works with the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), Lime Connect, and USBLN. He is a past Career Link Mentee, where he was matched with a Lockheed Martin Fellow. Ray is also a Fellow at Lime Connect, which is an organization that helps rebrand disability through achievement and serves as a campus ambassador as well. At Rensselaer and beyond, Ray is helping to connect students with disabilities with career opportunities and programs like the USBLN.
In his free time, Ray enjoys doing community service, working on entrepreneurial projects and startups, riding motorcycles and playing ultimate Frisbee.
