Steven C. Van Wyk is executive vice president and head of Technology and Operations of The PNC Financial Services Group.
Van Wyk joined PNC in January 2013. He previously served as global chief operating officer for ING, Amsterdam. Van Wyk was promoted to that position in 2007, one year after joining ING as chief information officer of the America’s division. He was responsible for all aspects of technology and operations across the Bank on a global basis. In addition, he was responsible for operations serving the commercial bank globally.
Prior to joining ING, he held several positions at Morgan Stanley from 1996 to 2006, including global chief information officer and global head of Operations and Technology for the Retail division. He has also served as senior manager, computer assurance consulting at Deloitte & Touche in Chicago; chief information and chief financial officer at Pella Windows and Doors, IA, as well as controller and senior auditor at Phillips Petroleum Company in Oklahoma.
Van Wyk earned his bachelor’s degree in business management and accounting from Central University of Iowa. He is a certified public accountant, certified internal auditor and holds a Series 27 Financial/Operations Principal license.
