Lauren Collins is a Director of Operational Risk at Freddie Mac and an active member of the Abilities ERG. Her current Operational Risk role involves leading a team responsible for preventing, identifying and addressing issues across a number of business lines.
Lauren began her career as a writer/editor for The Department of Homeland Security before moving to the UK and working for the Royal Bank of Scotland. Her work in Default Operations and Project Management at RBS allowed her the opportunity to move back to the US with the company. Lauren has spent the past 8 years at Freddie Mac primarily conducting external audits and, more recently, working in Enterprise Risk and now Single Family Portfolio Management Operational Risk. Lauren is a passionate supporter of the Aston Villa Football Club and happiest when finding gaps in controls and processes or when her football team wins a match.
