Tracy Edmonds serves as vice president of Diversity & Inclusion and chief diversity officer for Anthem, Inc. Responsible for guiding and cultivating Anthem’s diversity efforts, including the company’s associate resource groups, Ms. Edmonds has successfully launched the company’s first enterprise diversity council, facilitated consistent year-over-year growth in diversity among senior leadership, and developed and implemented a mandatory, company-wide cultural competency training designed to enhance Anthem’s daily interactions with an increasingly diverse customer base.

With a career that spans nearly three decades at Anthem, Ms. Edmonds has held a variety of leadership roles across the organization. Most recently serving as staff vice president of Human Resources, managing a team of more than 30 Human Resources professionals and supporting over 15,000 associates, Ms. Edmonds led several complex organizational restructures to ensure a better-aligned, more consumer-focused organization. As an ongoing partner to the business, Ms. Edmonds has also been an advocate for succession planning that positions high-potential talent to accept critical leadership roles across the enterprise.

Ms. Edmonds has been featured in Working Mother Magazine’s Best Companies for Multicultural Women and was a National Eagle Leadership Institute (NELI) Eagle Award recipient in 2011.

Ms. Edmonds is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati and holds an MBA from Xavier University.
